Welcome to
David Owen 100

A Night Of Tributes

To celebrate the anniversary of the birth of local resident David Owen, his son Chris is organising a tribute night at The Curzon Centre.  Working with The Young Theatre and The Curzon Centre, we are organising an evening of entertainment that could not be more fitting than a night of Tribute Acts at The Curzon Centre.

But why for David?  Even though he is no longer with us, without David being a Beaconsfield resident, it is highly unlikely that The Curzon Centre or Young Theatre would exist.

David was passionate about youth and community, and without his passion and vision in the mid 1960s the Curzon Centre would have most likely remained a small scout hut.

In the early 1970s David invited Young Theatre to The Curzon Centre as the resident youth theatre company and from 1974, Young Theatre is pleased to say The Curzon Centre is its home.

David was the driving force behind the development of the centre, with an extensive fundraising and development plan over the next 20 years to develop the centre into what it is now, a multi-room multi-use centre at the heart of Beaconsfield.

It still has an active youth club, many shows, and David Owen 100 will again show how relevant his legacy is.

So save the date - Saturday 21st November - doors open at 7.00pm with our tribute acts onstage from 8pm.

Licensed bar and snacks will be available, so why not buy your ticket, put on your dancing shoes and raise funds for Young Theatre and The Curzon Centre.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to these two charities and we have a one-off bargain price of £10.00 per ticket.

Seating will be tables of up to 10 (average 8) so why not book a whole table for you and your friends.

Tickets on sale shortly.
